What is the Experimental Therapeutics Unit?
The Experimental Therapeutics Unit (ETU) provides a dedicated and friendly environment for the care of pediatric clinical research volunteers. The ETU provides inpatient beds, outpatient exam and consult rooms, fast-track phlebotomy, skilled clinical research nurses, dietitians, and a dedicated lab technician to support specimen processing. Highly experienced research nurse practitioners are available to help investigators and study teams prepare for and conduct study visits occurring in the ETU. For additional information and pricing, please contact Maggie Malsch, MSN, RN, CPHON.
Studies must be approved to use the ETU before scheduling visits. To apply to use the ETU, submit an application through Harvard Catalyst Clinical Research Center (HCCRC) Resource Request (select "Request CRC Services"). For additional information and an estimated timeline on the Scientific Review process, download the HCCRC Protocol Review Process.
