The following are general guidelines for dosing of some of the most common medications.

Recommended doses of Acetaminophen (Tylenol)

  • For infants less than 3 months of age, please always call the office before giving Acetaminophen for fevers
  • Indications: fever, pain
  • Frequency: may repeat dosage every 4-6 hours as needed

  • Indications: fever, pain
  • Age Range: Age 6 months and up (do not use for infants less than 6months of age unless directed by your doctor)
  • Frequency: may repeat dosage every 6-8 hours as needed
