Doug Vanderslice is the Executive Vice President, Enterprise Services, and System Chief Financial Officer of Boston Children’s Hospital, where he is responsible for finance, networks and network development, real estate, strategy, and technology.
In 2013, Doug came to Boston from BJC HealthCare in St. Louis, Mo., where he was VP and CFO of St. Louis Children’s Hospital for nine years and concurrently served as CFO of BJC’s Home Care and Behavioral Health service lines for three of those years. Prior to joining BJC/St. Louis Children’s Hospital in 2004, Doug spent 12 years at Children’s Medical Center of Dallas as Controller and Director of Patient Financial Services. Doug began his professional career on the audit staff of Deloitte and Touche in Dallas, Texas, and also served as the Director of Finance for a suburban Dallas municipality.
Doug serves on the Board of Directors for the Massachusetts Business Roundtable, Boston Trinity Academy, Edible Theology Project, and the Pediatric Physicians of Children’s. He serves on the Finance Committees for the Controlled Risk Insurance Company, the Longwood Collective, and the Solutions for Patient Safety, as well as the Audit Committee for the Children’s Hospital Association.
Doug received his BBA in Accounting from Baylor University, completed the Advanced Management Program at University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business, and is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive).
