Musculoskeletal Informatics Group Research | Overview

The Musculoskeletal Informatics Group is a team of biomedical engineers, data scientists, and clinical researchers devoted to solving pressing issues in musculoskeletal disorders in children and young adults.

We work closely with Boston Children’s specialists in orthopedics and sports medicine to unlock the knowledge buried in large volumes of historical clinical notes using advanced analytics and artificial intelligence. Our collaborative research has the potential to support personalized clinical decision making while also helping to make care more affordable, accessible, and equitable.

As part of Harvard Medical School, we are also training the next generation of researchers who will continue to advance orthopedic and sports medicine through the strategic use of data science.
