We depend on families like yours.

Have you ever considered volunteering for a research study? Wonder what's involved? Your family can help us search for the genetic and environmental causes of Autism Spectrum Disorders and related conditions! The Developmental Research Program is always looking to meet new families who might be interested in participating in one of our studies. We work with all types of families, including those living outside of New England.

We are currently seeking families who have at least one child with a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), 24 months or older, for our study "Phenotypic and Genetic Factors in Autism Spectrum Disorders.

For this study, we interview all immediate family members, including parent(s), sibling(s) and the child with ASD. Study participation takes approximately 8 hours, and is divided over 2 visits – one at home and one at Boston Children’s Hospital. Free parking at the hospital is provided. Shortly after the visits, families receive a research report of our observations that includes developmental, cognitive, behavioral and social findings.

If you would like to learn more, please contact one of our study coordinators by phone or email. We look forward to speaking with you!
