In Outpatient Psychiatry we offer a variety of group treatments. Groups can provide skills and education to children and adolescents with a wide variety of challenges. Parent and caregiver groups are also offered in our department. Skills taught and practiced during group can be used in day-to-day life.
Groups are typically organized by participants’ needs. Our groups address challenges related to individuals’ social and emotional health and well-being. We use techniques proven to be effective, such as social/relational skill building, talk therapy, mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and child behavioral management.
