For physicians who have completed their pediatric residency training. The fellowship includes research components to varying degrees. When appropriate to a fellow's special interest, other experiences can also be arranged.
For Psychologists (PhD or PsyD) from an APA/CPA accredited doctoral program who have completed a pre-doctoral internship at an APA/CPA accredited program. The fellowship includes advance practice competency in assessing challenges in child and adolescent development — including attention deficits, autism spectrum disorders, learning disabilities, intellectual disabilities, and regulatory problems as well as common mental health comorbidities — by integrating the tenets of clinical psychology, developmental psychopathology and cognitive neuroscience, evidence based interventions, and principles of child and family development in order to provide psychological services and conduct applied clinical research. Fellows also participate in ongoing research within the Division of Developmental Medicine.
