Researcher | Research Overview

Dr. Greenblatt's research studies the strategic management of innovation with a focus on biomedical innovation and entrepreneurship. Broadly, he is interested in understanding how knowledge workers make choices about their careers, entrepreneurship, and the production of new knowledge. To study this, he uses the tools of applied microeconomics to help identify causal relationships. Recent work has examined barriers to technological change and how organizational environment shapes both the amount and type of innovation produced.

Researcher | Research Background

Dr. Greenblatt received his medical degree from Harvard Medical School and a Ph.D. from the MIT Sloan School of Management with the Technological Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Strategic Management group. He completed his clinical training in pediatrics at the University of California, San Francisco and Boston Children's Hospital/Boston Medical Center. Prior to his academic career, Dr. Greenblatt worked in management consulting with the Boston Consulting Group.
