Dr. Bachur’s major research interests include the diagnostic evaluation of common presenting conditions including urinary tract infection, pneumonia, bacteremia, and appendicitis.

Researcher | Research Background

Rich Bachur obtained his medical degree from UCLA before his clinical training in pediatrics and pediatric emergency medicine (Boston Children’s Hospital). He joined the faculty in 1994, was the fellowship director from 2003-2010, became chief of the Division of Emergency Medicine in 2009, and was promoted to Professor in 2015.
