Katherine Wilson | Professional History
Katherine Wilson, LICSW, is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in the Division of Sports Medicine and the Female Athlete Program at Boston Children’s Hospital. Ms. Wilson completed her MSW degree at Smith College School for Social Work as well as her Post-MSW Fellowship at Yale Psychiatric Institute, where she was a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Psychiatry at the Yale School of Medicine.
Prior to joining Children’s, she worked at McLean Hospital’s OCD Institute, where she provided clinical care to patients and their families. She specializes in Exposure Response Prevention (ERP) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) in her work with adolescents and young adults. She provides treatment for eating disorders, obsessive compulsive disorder, anxiety disorders and for the many other mental health challenges that occur during adolescence and young adulthood.
Ms. Wilson is a former professional ballet dancer. She received her training at the School of American Ballet and was a Corps de Ballet member with the Pacific Northwest Ballet. More recently, she was a Wellness Advisor for the Boston Ballet School where she provided lectures and workshops to BBS students, their families and BBS faculty.
