Mélise Keays | Professional History
Dr. Keays is a pediatric urologist who received her undergraduate training in biology and psychology at McMaster University (Summa Cum Laude) and her medical degree from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Ottawa in 2007. She completed her urology residency at the University of Toronto and Pediatric Urology fellowship and Master’s degree in Clinical Sciences at the University of Texas at Southwestern. She is the Director of Clinical Informatics in the Department of Pediatric Urology and leads the Patient Centered Outcomes in Pediatric Urology Research Center.
Dr. Keays offers a patient and family centric approach across the spectrum of urologic conditions.
Her primary research interests include developing patient reported outcome measures for pediatric urology conditions and maximizing the potential of the electronic medical record to improve patient centered care, promote quality improvement and foster collaborative research. Dr. Keays is a board member on the American Urological Association Data Committee, the Chair of the Society of Pediatric Urology Hypospadias Taskforce and is the past-president of the Pediatric Urologists of Canada.
