Inyang Isong | Professional History
Inyang Isong, MD, ScD, MPH, is a practicing general pediatrician at Boston Children's Primary Care at Longwood and Martha Elliot Health Center, and is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics (Part time) at Harvard Medical School.
Dr. Isong attended medical school at the College of Medical Sciences, University of Calabar, Nigeria. She completed her residency training in pediatrics at Cook County Children's Hospital, Chicago and subsequently a Health Services Research fellowship at Harvard Medical School/Massachusetts General Hospital. She earned a Masters in Public Health from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, as well as a Doctorate in Social and Behavioral Sciences at the Harvard School of Public Health. Before joining Boston Children’s Hospital, she worked as a community-based pediatrician at Lawndale Christian Health Center in Chicago, and subsequently as a Medical Officer with the United States Department of Health and Human Services in Rockville, Maryland.
