Cheryl Edwards | Professional History

Cheryl Edwards, AuD, is the audiology site manager at Boston Children’s Hospital at Waltham. She has over 20 years of experience in pediatric audiology and has taught at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Dr. Edwards has presented locally, nationally, and internationally on such topics as enlarged vestibular aqueduct, newborn hearing screening, early diagnosis and intervention for hearing loss, amplification systems, and diagnostic issues in pediatric audiology. Humanitarian audiology is a particular interest, and she has twice travelled to Rwanda as part of a team from Boston Children’s. Dr. Edwards is American Board of Audiology Certified, holds the Pediatric Audiology Specialty Certification, and completed the Certificate Holder-Audiology Preceptor training.

I value bringing a flexible approach to hearing assessment that recognizes each child’s unique strengths and needs on a given day. Each family has important questions about their child's hearing or communication that deserve thoughtful, professional responses. My goals are to address the family’s questions in a warm and open environment and to create a customized plan for their child.
