Rachel Santiago | Professional History
Rachel Santiago, MS, CCC-SLP is a speech-language pathologist an Clinical Coordinator of the Inpatient Augmentative and Alternative Communication Program (ACP). She received her master's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Emerson College and began working at Boston Children's Hospital in 2011 following several years in the school system working with children with special needs.
As a speech-language pathologist in the ACP, Rachel provides bedside augmentative communication and communication access solutions for patients in the acute care setting through evidence based assessment and intervention practices. In addition to providing direct patient care, she coordinates inpatient efforts including research, education, and program development. Rachel is a graduate student supervisor for Boston area universities, member of the international Patient-Provider Communication Network, published author, and lecturer at the national and international level.
