Katharine Garnett | Professional History

Dr. Garnett is a New England native, having grown up in nearby Wayland, Massachusetts, and attended school in New Hampshire, Maine and Vermont. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with a BS in Biology from Bates College and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa in 1997. Dr. Garnett worked in health science research at the Channing Laboratory through Brigham and Women’s Hospital before matriculating at The University of Vermont College of Medicine, graduating in 2002. Dr. Garnett completed her internship and residency in Pediatrics at The University of Massachusetts before working in hospital medicine and general pediatrics in the Worcester area for the next four years.

Dr. Garnett joined Lexington Pediatrics in 2009. She is Board Certified in Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She also holds an appointment as Instructor in Pediatrics at Harvard Medical School.

When not in the office, Dr. Garnett enjoys spending time with her husband and three children, especially in outdoor pursuits- hiking, skiing, tennis and time at the beach, and loves to travel to see other parts of the world whenever she can!
