Cynthia Haines | Professional History
As Senior Vice President of International Health Services, Cynthia Haines is responsible for leadership of Boston Children’s international initiatives including International Patient Services, Medical Education, Collaborations and Global Health.
Ms. Haines is a results driven leader with a 20+year track record building world-class health system capabilities in leading academic healthcare institutions and extending those capabilities regionally and internationally in unique win-win collaborations. She has created and led entrepreneurial initiatives within complex organizations and achieved support with Boards of Trustees, executive and senior leadership teams, academic physicians, employees and external constituencies.
Previously, Ms. Haines serves as SVP, International Medicine, The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Philadelphia, PA; and SVP, Strategy and Business Development, Stanford Children’s Health, Palo Alto. She holds and MBA from University of Chicago, Booth School of Business, Chicago, IL.
Ms. Haines works in close partnership with the Executive Chair, International Services, and other senior leaders across the Boston Children’s enterprise in the development and delivery of programs and services that reflect the mission of Boston Children’s to advance the quality of pediatric care around the globe. Specific goals for International Services include ensuring excellence in the delivery of care to nearly 3,000 patients that travel to Boston Children’s Longwood campus, and leading development of collaborations with like-minded pediatric organizations around the world that share the vision to advance pediatric care globally.
