Caleb P. Nelson, MD, MPH, is board-certified in urology with a certification in pediatric urology. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of urinary tract problems, vesicoureteral reflux, hydronephrosis, and kidney stones.
He attended the Duke University School of Medicine, receiving his MD in 1997. He completed a urology residency at the University of Michigan Medical Center, one of the top urology programs in the country. During this time, he also completed the Michigan Urology Clinical Research Training Program and received a master's of public health degree from the University of Michigan School of Public Health.

Dr. Nelson’s research focuses on clinical and epidemiological research in critical areas of pediatric urology, and quality of care in pediatric surgery and medicine. He was a co-principal investigator (PI) of the National Institutes of Health-funded RIVUR study, a landmark clinical trial for treatment of vesicoureteral reflux. He has published ore than 100 papers in the urology literature, and is also an Assistant Editor of the Journal of Pediatric Urology, as well as a member of the Editorial Board of the Pediatric Section of the Journal of Urology.
