Amy Scobie-Carroll | Professional History
Amy Scobie-Carroll is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. She earned her Bachelors degree in Psychology and Gender Studies at Mount Holyoke College in Massachusetts, and her Masters in Social Work from Portland State University in Oregon. Amy has held a variety of clinical positions over the course of her almost 20 year career, and has taught in the Social Work programs at Boston College and Salem State University. Her areas of expertise include eating disorder recovery, working with anxiety and depression, supporting patients through challenges, and LGBTQ affirmative care. Amy utilizes a relational approach, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and various techniques to help patients develop resilience, awareness, strength, and coping skills. In Amy's spare time you can find her swimming, hiking, and camping with friends, family, and her dog Odie.
