Aida Minasyanoz Yavshayan | Professional History

Dr. Yavshayan, the sole pediatrician in our office, received her medical degree from Istanbul University, Cerrahpasa School of Medicine, in Istanbul, Turkey. She completed her pediatric residency training at Massachusetts General Hospital for Children, Boston, in 1996. She has been in practice since initially at St. Elizabeth's Hospital Pediatric clinics, then in her private office since 2002. She is Board Certified in Pediatrics by American Board of Pediatrics, is a Fellow of American Academy of Pediatrics, a member of Massachusetts Medical Society, and a member of PPOC ( Pediatric Physicians' Organization at Children's).

She has affiliations with Boston Children's Hospital, Mass General, Newton-Wellesley, Mount Auburn, St. Elizabeth's and Brigham & Women's Hospitals.

Dr. Yavshayan has special interests in Patient Education, Preventive Medicine, Active Immunization, Asthma, and Allergies, ADHD, the Emotional Problems of Children, Nutrition and Obesity.

She and her other medical staff maintain their skills of offering a patient-centered pediatric health care not only by fulfilling the Pediatric Board of State Licensing requirements of continuous medical education hours at grand rounds, conferences, seminars but also by participating in different "learning communities" (seasons long seminar series of PPOC) that include the education of the entire medical team towards the best practices of a Pediatric Medical Home.

In turn, our practice teaches medical students, student nurse practitioners, student physician assistants, from time to time.

Dr. Yavshayan is fluent in English, French, Turkish and Armenian.

Russian, Arabic, and Portuguese are the other languages spoken in the office.

Dr. Yavshayan is married and is a mother to a young adult son. She is active in several Armenian Cultural Associations and in several Armenian Community Services. She loves and supports nature, art and humanity.
