Since 1994, Dr. Aisling Gaughan has practiced pediatric medicine in Concord as a member of Emerson Practice Associates and in 2001, led the practice as a solo practitioner. Dr. Eshita Bakshi was recruited to join the practice in 2013, and in August 2014, Dr. Gaughan retired from private practice after years of dedicated service.
Renamed to Walden Pond Pediatrics and as a preferred member of the Pediatric Physicians Organization of Children's (PPOC) Hospital, we strive to provide high-quality, family-centered and integrative care with the personal touch that only a solo practice can provide. We differentiate ourselves from other practices by providing the "mom-and-pop" feel of a medical practice while dedicating ample time during your visit for questions and education in the setting of a modern office.

Our mission is to support your child's growth from birth to adolescence, just as the roots of a tree support each individual branch. We view the foundation of your child's growth and development rooted in the care provided in the first 24-36 months of their lives, which is integral for a sustained healthy lifestyle thereafter. Preventive care during the seasons is paramount to exceptional care for your child. We pride ourselves in the transparency of the patient care you will receive from Dr. Bakshi and her staff. Lastly, we value community development and look forward to sponsoring activities for our youth and their families throughout the year.
In compliance with the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) guidelines, we implement the best of modern science and evidence-based medicine by staying up with current guidelines and utilizing the most up to date diagnostic tools, protocols, medications and care strategies. We offer a full range of pediatric care including prenatal visits for expecting parents, well-child examinations that include immunizations, as well as sick or urgent appointments and management of chronic medical conditions. If you deliver at Emerson Hospital, Dr. Bakshi is delighted to visit you and your new baby every morning until you are discharged. We also offer lactation support services. While breastfeeding is not for everyone, we hope you will give it strong consideration. Dr. Bakshi is a Certified Lactation Counselor and is prepared to support you as much as needed during this process.
