Aida Yavshayan, MD Seeking Medical Office Receptionist
Job duties:
- Greeting patients and visitors
- Managing phone lines (including identifying emergency/urgent, medical/nonmedical calls, and notifying the physician)
- Optimizing patient satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room utilization by scheduling appointments in-person or by telephone
- Checking patients in (confirming insurance eligibility, working with the biller if any issues)
- Managing incoming faxes and inputting media into the patient medical record
- Managing the refrigerator and freezer temperatures
- Managing service and product deliveries
- Collects patient co-pay and balances, records and updates patient financial information,
- Provides patients with appropriate developmental screening forms if not completed online
- Maintaining the reception area
- Maintaining the business office with stationary, print ink, inventory, and equipment; placing orders and scheduling equipment servicing/repairs
- Managing incoming/outgoing patient records
- Answering referral requests
