Adolescent appointments and gynecology services
Our providers enjoy guiding adolescents through the physical and emotional changes that make the transition to young adulthood such an exciting, rewarding, but often turbulent time. Many of our providers are trained to provide a broad range of adolescent gynecology services to our female patients. For more about the adolescent office visit and confidentiality issues, we recommend reading “Staying in Touch With Your Teen."
Reach Out and Read
At Greater Lowell Pediatrics we believe that a love for reading is a key to every child’s successful development and so we are proud to participate in the Reach Out and Read Program. Reach Out and Read (ROR) is a national non-profit organization that promotes early literacy by giving new books to children and advice to parents about the importance of reading aloud in pediatric exam rooms across the nation. Every child in our practice receives a book at each well child visit between the age of 6 months and 5 years.
Our doctors and nurses know that growing up healthy means growing up with books. The delight in the eyes of our young patients when given the gift of a book makes it clear they agree!
Screening and testing
Early detection of problems is important for successful treatment. We offer:
- Vision Screening at all ages including use of SureSight Autorefractor for testing infants
- Hearing Screening utilizing Audiometry and Tympanometry
- Pulmonary Function Testing for optimal care of our patients with asthma
